In many cases, these deals cost more than buying materials yourself and assembling them on your own. Get a sturdy binder or a box where you can keep the printouts and magazine cutouts. This way, you will have a plan in mind when you are scouting for art supplies.
There are affordable ways to create your own wedding favors. Think outside the box. Expensive does not necessarily mean better. If it's taking too much of your time from other more important things to tend to for your wedding, you can always ask somebody else to look for discounted supplies. If all else fails and you think you just don't have the time to look for affordable pieces, at least make a quick online search for coupons and try to avoid buying supplies at their regular retail price.
